About Van deadlocks
Van deadlocks are a type of locking system that offer enhanced security for commercial vans. They are different from standard locks because they have a bolt that protrudes directly into the van door frame, making them much more difficult to break.
One of the main benefits of having van deadlocks fitted is that they require a key to lock and unlock the vehicle, which can effectively double the security of a van. They are difficult to pick or force open, and in most cases, the only way to get past the deadlock is by using the key.
Van deadlocks are still the most common van security locks fitted to vans today. They operate by rotating the high-security key in the cylinder, which throws over the deadbolt and adds an additional high-security locking point to the van door.
About Hook Locks
Hook Locks are an additional independent lock that can be installed on van doors to provide extra security and act as a deterrent to potential thieves. These locks are an upgraded version of traditional Deadlocks and are designed to prevent the door from being bent open due to their unique hook style bolt which latches onto a receiving bracket. Unlike traditional Deadlocks, Hook Locks hook over as well as latch onto the door, providing a higher level of security against break-ins. Each Hook Lock is designed specifically for the make and model of the vehicle door and is manually locked with a high-security key. These locks are installed on the van doors’ body panels and work in conjunction with the factory fitted locks to provide optimum van security.
About External Shields/Protection Plates
External shields/protection plates for vans provide strong protection against targeted attacks and cover up existing damage. Made from durable 304 grade stainless steel with a black powder-coated finish, these plates are fixed to the van’s doors using hidden bolts.
These plates are particularly effective against thieves who target vulnerable areas of the van by drilling or puncturing holes to gain access to the vehicle’s mechanism and locking system. By installing external shields/protection plates, you can prevent such attacks from happening.
Even if your van has already been targeted, these plates can still be fitted to cover up existing damage and protect against future attacks. In addition, they act as a clear visual deterrent to potential thieves, letting them know that your van has security upgrades and protection.
